Jonathan Baugh

Jonathan Baugh is working toward the physical realization of quantum information processors in the solid state, using the property of spin to encode quantum information. Past work has focused on solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance few-qubit systems, and more recently on combined electron-nuclear spin systems and single electron spins in quantum dots. Prior to joining IQC and the Department of Chemistry in 2007, he spent a year as a Visiting Researcher at the University of Tokyo. He was previously a Post-Doctoral Fellow at IQC, and received a PhD in Physics in 2001 from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
